2023 Captain of Industry Recipient Bob Connor
The NY/NJ Foreign Freight Forwarders & Brokers Association, Inc. is pleased to honor Bob Connor with its “Captain of Industry” Award for 2023. This award is bestowed on an individual who has steadily and generously given their knowledge, time and commitment to the Association.
With decades of high-ranking leadership positions in all aspects of transportation with freight forwarders, NVOS, ocean carriers and terminals, Bob has helped the industry and NYNJFF&BA membership navigate the challenges of the rapidly changing global supply chain and regulatory environment. Just as impressively, he has done so without losing his irrepressible sense of humor.
Bob has long served on the Board of the NYNJFF&BA and as Dais Chair of its prestigious annual maritime industry dinner. For nearly two years, he has been a strong contributing member of the Federal Maritime Commission’s first ever National Shipper Advisory Committee. Currently Executive Vice President for Global Transportation at Mallory Alexander International Logistics, Bob had previously been a managing director of Senator Line and vice president of Hapag Lloyd as well as president of its subsidiary, Hamilton Terminal Corporation. He is an alumnus of Philadelphia University and of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton’s School of Business Executive Management Program.

September 28th, Jeanette Gioia, Association President presented Mr. Connor with the “2023 Captain of Industry” crystal obelisque and certified United States American Flag flown over the Capital.
